The International Day of Yoga (21st of June) is celebrated in over 150 countries worldwide. For the Johannesburg event we invite our entire yoga community to come together and share our passion for the wonderful practice of yoga.
Time & Location

Bidvest Wanderers Stadium, Corlett Dr, Illovo, Sandton, 2196, South Africa
About The Event
The event is free and open to absolutely anyone with an interest in yoga (whether you are a regular or it's your very first time to try it out!). On the day there will be several group yoga sessions and workshops, and every activity will be accessible to all levels and ages. You can support the event by joining our 108 sun salutation challenge (donation 150 ZAR) or sponsoring someone to complete the challenge even if you are unable to attend or participate yourself.
As we also celebrate Youth Day in South Africa, there will be a full kids program (including kids yoga and other activities). There will also be vendors offering healthy food/drink options, yoga services, and yoga clothing/props.
08.00-09.00: arrival and registration
09.00-10.30: mega yoga class for all ages and levels (taught by Steven from Yoga Works)
11.00-12.30: 108 sun salutation challenge
13.00-14.30: various yoga workshops/styles (Iyengar, Art of Living, Vinyasa and Acro Yoga)
All proceeds of this event will be donated to a charity. Our beneficiary this year is Dlala Nje, providing a community centre with yoga and other activities to disadvantaged youth in Hillbrow.
